Our esteemed client, a leading multinational in the manufacturing sector, has retained us to headhunt a dynamic and results-oriented Head of Human Resources. Reporting to the Director, Human Resource & Operations, the successful candidate will lead the delivery of best-practice HR strategies and services across the organization. The role is pivotal in shaping a high-performance culture, fostering employee engagement, and ensuring the company attracts, develops, and retains top talent aligned with its strategic goals.
Location: Nairobi & Rwanda | Salary: Ksh 780,000 – Ksh 880,000 per month
Lead the development and execution of the HR functional strategy to drive employee engagement and organizational performance. Communicate HR strategic direction and objectives clearly across all staff levels. Prepare and oversee implementation of HR annual business plans aligned to company goals. Develop and implement best-practice strategies in talent acquisition, development, and culture transformation. Stay abreast of global and local HR trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. Review and enhance HR policies, procedures, and systems for efficiency and compliance. Conduct regular people-related risk assessments and advise management accordingly. Provide strategic advice on organization design, structure, and job evaluation to maximize effectiveness.
Strong knowledge of contemporary and emerging HR practices. Expertise in organization development, compensation, talent management, and employee relations. Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Demonstrated business acumen and strategic orientation. Proven ability to influence and drive organizational change.
Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Industrial Psychology, or related field. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, or Business Administration. Must be a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP). Minimum of 10 years’ progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
