Job Summary

Are you a visionary leader passionate about education and dedicated to transforming lives? Join Enko Education as a Head of School, where you will lead the charge in shaping African International Schools of Choice and expanding African students’ access to top universities.

As Head of School, you will lead one of our dynamic institutions, driving its transformation into a leading African International School of Choice. You will oversee all educational and financial outcomes, ensuring excellence across all dimensions of the school. Your role will involve establishing, managing, and continuously improving key areas such as learning and teaching, finance, operations, and student recruitment, all in alignment with the group’s Standards & Practices and the Enko Culture.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing the Enko model: Ensure the school operates in full alignment with Enko’s framework and reference documents, including those provided by our academic partners (IB, CAIE) and local regulatory bodies.
  • Leading accreditation processes: Successfully guide the school through international accreditation and re-accreditation processes, including those of the IB, CAIE, and relevant national authorities.
  • Achieving educational excellence: Deliver the school’s educational objectives in alignment with Enko Education’s overarching goals, ensuring academic and teaching quality.
  • Building a high-performing team: Recruit, develop, and retain top-quality teaching and non-teaching staff to foster an outstanding and motivated team.
  • Driving growth and financial performance: Achieve student recruitment targets and financial objectives, including managing the school’s P&L and leading it towards or maintaining positive EBITDA.
  • Generating additional revenue: Develop and execute strategies to create new revenue streams that support the school’s growth and sustainability.
  • Enhancing parent and student experience: Ensure high levels of satisfaction among students and parents, fostering a strong sense of community and partnership.
  • Contributing to network development: Actively participate in improving the Enko model and support the expansion of our network across Africa, leveraging insights and best practices.
  • As the local representative of the Enko brand, you will actively engage with stakeholders—parents, staff, shareholders, partners, and landlords—to uphold and enhance the school’s reputation and mission.
  • Reporting to the School Management Committee, you will collaborate closely with the school’s Sponsor and leverage the resources and expertise from the Central team and the other Heads of Schools.
