Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Talent Management & Development Specialist to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. This role will be instrumental in shaping our people strategy, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring our team members have the resources and opportunities to thrive. You will be responsible for designing and implementing programs that support employee growth, engagement, and retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive talent management strategies, including talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, and succession planning.
- Design and deliver training programs and workshops to enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Manage the performance appraisal process, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
- Identify and address employee development needs through coaching, mentoring, and other learning interventions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in Talent Management, Learning & Development, Leadership Development, or Organizational Development.
- Experience designing enterprise-wide talent programmes in multi-country organizations.
- Stakeholder management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience operating within a Centre of Excellence model preferred.

- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in talent management, learning and development, or a similar HR role.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs.
- Strong understanding of talent management best practices, including performance management and succession planning.
- Master's degree in a relevant field or a professional HR certification (e.g., CHRP).
- Experience working in the non-profit or social enterprise sector.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
