Warmly greet and welcome arriving guests. Manage reservations and seating arrangements, and update waitlists. Escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and introduce them to their server. Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries. Help coordinate with servers and the kitchen to manage seating and service flow. Maintain a clean and tidy entrance and reception area. Handle guest complaints or special requests. Thank departing guests and invite them to return.
Communication: Clearly and warmly communicate with guests and staff. Customer Service: Provide excellent and friendly service, and handle complaints professionally. Organization: Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently. Multitasking: Handle multiple tasks, such as answering phones and greeting guests, simultaneously. Problem-Solving: Address guest issues and unexpected challenges calmly and diplomatically. Teamwork: Collaborate with servers and other staff to ensure smooth service. Adaptability: Stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer service skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Positive and friendly attitude. Familiarity with reservation or POS systems. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Physical stamina to be on your feet for long periods.
