Background

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeping/Cleaning Attendant to join our hotel team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining exceptional cleanliness throughout the hotel while ensuring guests receive a comfortable, safe, and welcoming experience and welcoming experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas to hotel standards.
• Change bed linen, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
• Complete all assigned cleaning tasks thoroughly and within the required timeframes.
• Follow daily work schedules and ensure all duties are carried through to completion.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, lost property, or safety hazards promptly.
• Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping equipment, storage areas, and service trolleys.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of the housekeeping team.
• Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with guests.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or professional cleaning is essential.
• Good command of spoken and written English with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks from start to finish.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures and best practices.
• Experience using commercial cleaning equipment and cleaning products.
• Ability to identify and report maintenance or repair requirements.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual duties, including standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods.
• Honest, trustworthy, and able to respect guest privacy and confidentiality.
• High standard of personal hygiene and professional grooming.
• Ability to manage linen, guest amenities, and basic housekeeping inventory.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Flexible and willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Punctual, reliable, and committed to delivering excellent guest service.

• First School Leaving Certificate , KCSE
• Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or professional cleaning is essential.
