Our client is a boarding college based in Nairobi. They are looking for a Housekeeper to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, dormitories, offices, washrooms, dining areas, and other college facilities.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at all times.
• Make beds and maintain student accommodation where required.
• Prepare and serve simple meals and refreshments such as tea, porridge, bread, and snacks.
• Wash utensils and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Support other housekeeping and domestic duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• KCSE Certificate or equivalent.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or institutional cleaning is an added advantage.
• Ability to prepare simple meals and beverages.
• Good personal hygiene and a strong understanding of cleanliness standards.
• Honest, trustworthy, disciplined, and dependable.
• Physically fit and able to work in a busy environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality.

Additional Details

This is a full-time position.

• Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the college premises, including dormitories, classrooms, common areas, and offices.
• Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing restrooms.
• Ensuring that all areas are presentable and hygienic.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or damages to the relevant personnel.

• Good understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Reliability.

• Ability to work independently.
• Positive attitude.
• Good communication skills.

• Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in an institutional setting such as a school or college.
