Responsibilities or duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff.
  • Assign cleaning duties and prepare staff work schedules.
  • Inspect rooms, offices, public areas, and other facilities to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping employees.
  • Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of cleaning equipment and materials.
  • Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.
  • Report maintenance issues, repairs, and safety hazards to the appropriate department.
  • Enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to cleaning requests and complaints.
  • Maintain accurate housekeeping records, attendance, and inventory reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of new housekeeping staff when required.

Qualifications or requirements

  • Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Housekeeping, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

Experience needed

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Experience supervising cleaning operations in a hotel, hospital, office, school, or similar environment is an advantage.
