KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support recruitment processes including job advertising, shortlisting, interview coordination, and on-boarding of staff.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date employee records in line with hospital and legal requirements.
- Assist in payroll preparation by compiling staff data such as attendance, leave, overtime, and contract details.
- Support performance management processes including appraisals, confirmations, and contract renewals.
- Assist in disciplinary procedures, grievance handling, and employee relations matters in compliance with Kenyan labour laws.
- Coordinate staff training, induction programs, CPD activities, and maintain training records for regulatory compliance.
- Provide HR administrative support including correspondence, filing, and document control.
- Promote staff welfare, well-being initiatives, and a positive work culture suitable for a mental healthcare environment.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, hospital policies, and healthcare regulations.
- Any other duty as may be assigned
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Sound knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and HR best practices.
- High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work compassionately and professionally in a mental health environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems.
