Background
We are seeking to hire a Human Resource Assistant to support our client in the day-to-day operations of the HR department. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with a strong interest in supporting HR processes and contributing to a positive workplace environment.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Support the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist in tracking employee performance reviews and training activities
- Provide administrative support in handling employee relations matters
- Prepare HR reports and maintain proper documentation of HR activities
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant employee data (incentive, bonuses etc.)
- Respond to employee queries and provide basic HR guidance
- Foster a positive workplace culture through feedback mechanisms.
- Support compliance with labour laws and company policies
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1–2 years’ experience in an HR support or assistant role preferably in an engineering, manufacturing or a fast-paced environment)
- Basic understanding of Kenyan labour laws and HR practices
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
