Job Description
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
- Implementing human resource management decisions within existing rules, regulations and procedures;
- Processing information relating to recruitment, promotion, leave, transfer and exit documents;
- Updating payroll and complement data;
- Maintaining accurate record of expiry of contracts, probationary periods, acting appointments and submitting reports for decision making;
- Collating and compiling training applications;
- Collating staff performance appraisals;
- Updating the Human Resource Information System;
- Compiling agenda and minutes for Human Resource Advisory Committee; and
- Drafting routine correspondences.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -
- Cumulative service period of three (3) years relevant work experience in the grade of Human Resource Management & Development Officer II, or in a comparable position;
- Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
OR
- Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Sociology,
- Business Administration, Public Administration, Commerce and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management/Development or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
- Certificate in computer application skills; and Shown merit, integrity and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Terms of Service
- The successful candidate will be on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service. The Minimum basic salary for this position will range from Kshs. 49, 329 - Kshs. 68,909/= per month exclusive of allowances.
