Job Specifications
Duties and responsibilities at this level entail:
- Implementing human resource management policies, laws, regulations, procedures and systems;
- Drafting and verification of routine correspondences;
- Processing of salaries, allowances, benefits and final dues;
- Verifying the payroll;
- Collating and analysing training applications;
- Processing employee recruitment, promotion and exit documents;
- Processing of leave applications, sick sheets and sick offs;
- Updating of Staff Medical details, National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) and National Social Security Fund (NSSF) records;
- Maintaining complement control;
- Updating human resource database;
- Collating data on work environment and employees’ satisfaction surveys; and
- Preparing periodic progress reports.
Job specifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- OR
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields; Public Administration, Sociology, Business Administration or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution plus s Diploma in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution; and
- Proficiency in computer applications.
Successful candidates MUST satisfy the requirements of Leadership and Integrity set out in Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and shall be required to present the following documents before the offer letter.
- Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (TCC);
- Certificate of clearance from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
- Certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI);
- Dully filled and stamped Self-Declaration/Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
- Clearance certificate from approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
