Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and service-oriented Human Resources Officer to support and manage the HR function within a busy hospitality environment. Based in Nyali, Mombasa, the ideal candidate will play a critical role in recruiting, developing, and supporting hotel staff to ensure a productive, compliant, and positive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full recruitment cycle, onboarding, and induction for hotel employees.
- Ensure all HR activities comply with Kenyan labor laws and internal policies.
- Coordinate and implement employee training programs aligned with hospitality standards.
- Manage staff welfare initiatives, resolve conflicts, and handle disciplinary procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee records, files, and HR-related documentation.
- Collaborate with the Accounts Department to support payroll processing.
- Facilitate regular performance appraisals and probation evaluations.
- Assist department heads with workforce planning and HR matters
Requirements
Key Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in an HR role, preferably within the hospitality or service sector.
- Strong understanding of Kenyan labor legislation and HR policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential information.
