Role Overview & Scope

The Human Resource Officer will oversee day-to-day HR operations, staff welfare, employee relations, and administrative compliance for a team of 30 employees. Based on-site at the Kitengela office, the successful candidate will work closely with management to implement sound personnel policies, streamline onboarding, and drive a productive work culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • HR Administration & Operations: Manage employee records, attendance, leave management, and daily administrative operations for the staff.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Facilitate recruitment processes, conduct interviews, prepare contracts, and lead orientation for new hires.
  • Employee Relations & Welfare: Address staff grievances, foster a positive working environment, and organize employee engagement activities.
  • Performance & Policy Management: Assist in implementing performance appraisal systems and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Payroll Support: Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate processing of monthly payroll inputs, allowances, and statutory deductions.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on human resource generalist experience.
  • Professional Membership: Professional registration with IHRM (or local equivalent HR body) is an added advantage.
  • Competencies: Strong interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, organizational abilities, and proficiency in HR management software.
