What you will be doing

Payroll

Manage the end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness

Work closely with external payroll providers to guarantee that payroll processing for employees adheres to local regulations.

Reconcile payroll discrepancies and ensure that all payroll-related queries, including those specific to Portuguese regulations, are resolved promptly.

Stay updated with the latest developments in payroll regulations and practices within the Portugal market.

HR Systems Management

Administer and maintain the HR information system (HRIS)

Serve as the main point of contact for system-related inquiries and issues

Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and system integrity

Employee Data Management

Manage employee data, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and mobilities

Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure all necessary documentation, equipment, and access are provided

Ensure data accuracy and completeness in the HRIS and other related systems

Generate reports and analytics on employee data as required

HR Analytics and Reporting

Compile and analyze HR data to generate meaningful insights and trends

Develop and maintain HR dashboards and reports for management and stakeholders

Identify opportunities for process improvements and data-driven decision-making

Prepare and submit HR-related reports to regulatory bodies as required

Compliance and Policy Management

Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and company policies

Monitor changes in employment laws and regulations, and update policies and procedures accordingly

Support HR audits and assist in resolving any compliance-related issues

HR Process Optimization

Identify opportunities to streamline and automate HR processes

Collaborate with HR colleagues to implement process improvements

Develop and maintain HR process documentation and standard operating procedures

Employee Relations Support

Serve as the primary point of contact for managing ticketing system

Support with Employee relations as per employment Act.

Collaborate and support the HR teams in the overall HR roadmap

What we are looking for

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

4+ years of experience in Payroll management and HR operations in a fast-paced environment

Accounting knowledge or background is a plus

In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, HR processes and systems

Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and generate meaningful insights

Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data management

Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Proficiency in Microsoft Office
