Role Purpose
The Human Resources Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership of all HR functions. The role focuses on aligning HR practices with business objectives, strengthening mid-level managers and team leads, enforcing HR governance, enhancing employee engagement, and building a strong, ethical, and high-performance organizational culture.
The HR Manager will serve as a key advisor to Directors and Management on people strategy, organizational development, leadership effectiveness, and employee relations, while ensuring full compliance with Kenyan labor laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Align HR strategy with business goals and company growth plans
- Advise management on workforce planning, organizational development, and people strategy
- Lead succession planning, leadership pipeline development, and talent sustainability
HR Governance & Compliance
- Enforce HR policies, SOPs, Employee Handbook, and HR Manual
- Ensure compliance with Kenyan labor laws and statutory requirements
- Train staff and management on HR policies, ethics, and performance standards
Leadership & Management Development
- Strengthen leadership capacity of mid-level managers and team leads
- Design and deliver leadership, coaching, communication, and managerial training
- Build accountability systems and monitor departmental performance
Employee Relations & Culture
- Manage employee grievances, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution
- Promote a positive, ethical, and collaborative work culture
- Drive employee engagement, empowerment, recognition, and well-being initiatives
Training & Performance Management
- Develop and implement annual training calendars
- Oversee performance management systems, KPIs, reviews, and PIPs
- Support managers in goal setting, scorecards, and development plans
Talent Management & HR Operations
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, probation management and staff exits
- Maintain accurate HR records, reports, and HR analytics
- Oversee leave management, HR documentation, and coordination with finance on payroll and benefits
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field
- Professional HR certification (CHRP or equivalent)
- Membership and valid practicing license with IHRM (Kenya)
Experience
- 5–8 years progressive HR experience
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial HR role
- Strong experience in leadership development, employee relations, and HR advisory
- Experience in real estate or sales-driven environments is an added advantage

- Strong leadership, coaching, and influencing skills
- Excellent communication, mediation, and report-writing abilities
- Deep understanding of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices
- High integrity, emotional intelligence, confidentiality, and business acumen
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
