Responsibilities or duties

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in administering the organization’s hybrid network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, Active Directory, Windows Server, DNS, FTP, and file sharing services.
  • Support the management and optimization of enterprise systems – Protel Air PMS, iSelz POS, Infor Sun Financials, and Google Workspace, covering user management, error resolution, reporting, and module integrations.
  • Manage and monitor the FortiGate firewall, VLANs, NAT policies, IPS/IDS, antivirus, and web filtering to maintain network security and proper traffic segmentation across staff, guest, and back-office networks.
  • Oversee the hybrid IP telephony infrastructure and manage the Onity room lock system including encoder functionality, key card issuance, and emergency override management.
  • Manage the organization-wide CCTV surveillance network – including NVRs, storage, and footage review.
  • Oversee in-house broadcast TV and entertainment systems, coordinating with vendors on upgrades, signal integrity, and billing.
  • Manage ICT hardware procurement, repairs, asset inventory, CMDB updates, print solutions, and software license and contract renewals.
  • Conduct ICT inductions for new staff, lead departmental system refresher trainings, and coordinate vendor-led software training sessions.
  • Liaise with approved vendors and service providers for system upgrades, support, and contract management; assist in ICT CAPEX planning.
  • Lead and support digital transformation projects, ensure data protection compliance, and maintain cyber hygiene through regular review of logs and security alerts.

Qualifications or requirements 

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT management or systems administration within the hospitality sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Proven hands-on experience with PMS, POS, and financial systems; familiarity with Protel Air, iSelz, and Infor Sun Financials is highly desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of network security, firewall administration (FortiGate), VLANs, and cloud/enterprise platforms.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Google Workspace administration, and IP telephony systems.
  • Experience with CCTV systems, physical security infrastructure, and ICT asset and vendor management.
  • Relevant certifications are an advantage: CCNA, CompTIA Security+/Network+, Microsoft Certified, or ITIL Foundation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a service-oriented mindset and commitment to guest experience.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and training delivery skills; high level of integrity.
  • Project management exposure (PMP or PRINCE2) and experience driving ICT CAPEX planning are added advantages.
