Looking for an IT job in Kenya? 67 Airport Hotel is hiring an ICT Manager to oversee the hotel’s IT infrastructure, manage systems and drive technology improvements. The role is based in Nairobi and experience in network administration is required.
We are seeking a highly competent, proactive, and experienced ICT Manager to oversee, maintain, and advance our technological infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and an outstanding digital experience for our guests and staff.
Responsibilities or duties
- Oversee the hotel’s entire IT infrastructure, including local networks (LAN/WAN), servers, cloud systems, backup solutions, and guest/staff Wi-Fi networks.
- Manage and maintain specialized hospitality software, including Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS) systems, and keycard locking systems.
- Implement robust cybersecurity measures, firewalls, and data protection protocols. Oversee the maintenance of CCTV, access control, and IP telephony systems.
- Provide timely technical support to all departments and ensure minimal downtime for guest-facing technologies (e.g., in-room entertainment, conference room AV setups).
- Manage relationships with external IT vendors, service providers, and ISPs. Keep an accurate inventory of all hardware, software licenses, and IT assets.
- Advise management on technology upgrades, IT budgeting, and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar leadership role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Professional certifications are highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with hotel-specific systems such as Property Management Systems, Point of Sale (POS) systems, and keycard systems.
- Strong knowledge of network management, security, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong leadership skills, and the capacity to work efficiently under pressure in a 24/7 environment.
