JOB TITLE: ICT MANAGER

NATURE OF JOB: FULL TIME

SALARY: KSHS. 80,000

JOB LOCATION: NAIROBI

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic IT Leadership

Define and drive the enterprise IT strategy aligned with the organization’s business goals.

Lead digital transformation initiatives to modernize systems, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience.

Identify opportunities for innovation, emerging technologies, and AI/ML integration to deliver business value.

Champion IT governance, standards, and best practices across the organization.

Enterprise Architecture & Systems Oversight

Design and maintain a scalable, secure, and robust enterprise architecture framework.

Lead multi-system implementations and integrations, including:

  • ERP systems – streamline finance, HR, and operations.
  • CRM platforms – enhance customer relationship management.
  • MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) – optimize production and supply chain visibility.
  • eCommerce platforms – improve digital sales channels and user experience.
  • Fleet management systems – track and optimize company assets.

Ensure IT and OT systems converge seamlessly for operational efficiency.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

Develop and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to protect organizational data and systems.

Oversee risk assessments, incident response planning, and compliance with relevant regulations (ISO, GDPR, etc.).

Monitor, detect, and mitigate threats to maintain business continuity and minimize downtime.

Financial & Value Management

Manage IT budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost optimization.

Calculate Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for IT investments and measure ROI.

Ensure that all technology projects deliver measurable business value.

Prepare reports and dashboards to communicate IT performance, budget, and value realization to executives and board.

Project & Change Management

Lead complex IT and digital transformation projects from concept through implementation.

Develop and enforce project management methodologies, timelines, and deliverables.

Facilitate change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new systems across the enterprise.

Monitor project performance, manage risks, and resolve issues promptly.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

Serve as the primary liaison between IT and business units.

Build strong relationships with executive leadership, department heads, and board members.

Present technology strategies, project updates, and performance metrics in clear business terms.

Advise on technology-related business decisions and strategic planning.

Team Leadership & Capability Development

Lead, mentor, and develop IT teams to ensure high performance, innovation, and professional growth.

Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Identify skills gaps and implement training programs for IT staff.

Promote cross-functional collaboration to integrate IT solutions with business processes.

Vendor & Partner Management

Manage relationships with technology vendors, consultants, and service providers.

Negotiate contracts, service-level agreements, and pricing for software, hardware, and IT services.

Evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality delivery and alignment with business objectives.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or IT & Business.

5+ years of experience in IT/digital leadership roles with enterprise scope.

5+ years at C-level or equivalent strategic leadership roles.

Demonstrated experience in delivering large-scale IT transformations across ERP, CRM, MES, eCommerce, and fleet management systems.

Expertise in enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, AI/ML integration, and IT/OT convergence.

Strong financial and business acumen with experience managing budgets, ROI, and value realization.

Exceptional communication skills, with proven ability to interact effectively with executives, boards, and stakeholders.
