Responsibilities or duties
IT STRATEGY AND GOVERNANCE
- Develop and implement the Club's IT strategy and digital transformation roadmap.
- Align technology initiatives with organizational goals and business priorities.
- Advise management and committees on technology investments, risks, and opportunities.
- Prepare and manage annual IT budgets and capital expenditure plans.
- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards.
- Keep the Club appraised of emerging ICT trends in the industry.
- Coach, mentor, and appraise ICT staff, and drive departmental work plans and training programs.
INFORMATION SECURITY AND RISK MANAGEMENT
- Lead the implementation and continual improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
- Drive compliance with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 requirements and security best practices.
- Conduct information security risk assessments and oversee mitigation activities.
- Manage cybersecurity programs, vulnerability assessments, and incident response processes.
- Coordinate data protection compliance and support regulatory requirements.
- Maintain data integrity through risk and change management processes with senior stakeholders.
- Develop and implement disaster management strategies to protect Club systems, data, and users from cyberattacks and unauthorized access.
INFRASTRUCTURE AND SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT
- Manage servers, storage, networking, cloud services, and end-user computing infrastructure.
- Ensure high availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Oversee server replication, backup, and recovery systems.
- Maintain system performance, capacity planning, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Manage telecommunications and internet connectivity services.
PHYSICAL SECURITY TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT
- Oversee CCTV surveillance, access control, and gate management solutions.
- Manage security technology upgrades and modernization projects.
- Ensure integration between physical security and information security controls.
- Support investigations through digital evidence management and reporting.
- Oversee physical assets including primary and secondary data centres and Club-issued equipment.
- Develop technical specifications, evaluate bids, and manage procurement, maintenance, and replacement of servers, computers, and related hardware.
BUSINESS APPLICATIONS MANAGEMENT
- Administer and support Club Management Systems and financial applications.
- Coordinate software upgrades, integrations, and vendor support services.
- Work closely with Finance, Membership, HR, Operations, and Security to optimize business processes.
- Ensure data integrity, system availability, and user adoption.
- Serve as Secretary to the ICT & Digitisation Committee and represent the Club at relevant meetings.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
- Lead technology projects from planning through implementation and post-deployment support.
- Manage vendors, contractors, consultants, and implementation partners.
- Prepare business cases, project proposals, ROI analyses, and executive reports.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions where appropriate.
SERVICE DELIVERY AND USER SUPPORT
- Ensure timely delivery of IT support services across the Club.
- Establish service levels and monitor performance against agreed standards.
- Manage IT service providers and support contracts.
- Develop user training and awareness programs.
VENDOR AND CONTRACT MANAGEMENT
- Evaluate and select technology vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts, service level agreements, and maintenance agreements.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure contractual compliance.
- Manage procurement processes for technology equipment and services.
- Develop technical specifications and manage bid evaluation, installation, configuration, user training, and patching.
- Establish and review SLAs, aligning ICT service contribution to business and financial goals.
COMPLIANCE, BUDGETING, AUDIT, AND REPORTING
- Coordinate IT audits and security assessments.
- Maintain asset registers, system documentation, and audit records.
- Produce management reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and Club policies.
- Oversee development of the department's annual budget.
- Monitor and control utilisation of approved budgeted funds

EXPERIENCE
- 8-10 years of progressive ICT management experience, with at least 2 years in managerial/similar position
- Experience managing cybersecurity, infrastructure, enterprise applications, and technology projects.
- Experience in hospitality, clubs, leisure, or service-oriented environments is an added advantage.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, PMP, ITIL, Microsoft, or Cisco certifications are desirable.
- Project management certification (PMP or PRINCE2) is an added advantage.
- Specialised knowledge of ICT systems, including computer networks, systems administration, and programming.
- Expertise in data centre management.
- Sound knowledge of laws and policies on data governance.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical, project management, and written and oral communication skills.

EDUCATION
