Role Summary
United Winners DT Sacco is seeking a competent and proactive ICT Officer to support and manage the organization’s ICT infrastructure, systems, and digital banking platforms. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring system reliability, security, and efficient user support across the SACCO.
Key Responsibilities.
ICT Infrastructure Management
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, printers, and networks.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and network performance.
- Ensure servers, network devices, and ICT equipment are functioning optimally.
User Support
- Provide technical support to staff on hardware and software issues.
- Respond to ICT service requests and troubleshoot system problems.
- Train users on basic ICT systems and applications.
Network Administration
- Manage LAN/WAN networks and internet connectivity.
- Monitor network performance and security.
System Administration
- Manage user accounts, access rights, and permissions.
- Maintain core systems including Core Banking System, email platforms, IP telephony, and databases.
Data Security & Backup
- Implement ICT security policies and procedures.
- Ensure regular data backups and disaster recovery readiness.
- Safeguard systems against viruses, malware, and cyber threats.
ICT Asset Management
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of ICT equipment.
- Track usage, maintenance schedules, and asset replacements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Document ICT committee minutes, system configurations, and incidents.
- Prepare periodic ICT reports as required.
Vendor & System Management
- Coordinate with ICT vendors and service providers to resolve issues.
- Participate in system implementation, upgrades, and integrations.
Digital Banking Support
- Support digital banking platforms (mobile banking, internet banking, integrations).
- Monitor system uptime and promptly resolve customer-facing issues.
Required Qualifications and working experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years relevant ICT experience, preferably in a financial institution or SACCO environment.
- Strong knowledge of networking, systems administration, cybersecurity practices and Software development
- Experience with Core Banking Systems and digital banking platforms is an added advantage.
- Professional certification in ICT (MCSE or MSCD or DBA or MCITP)
- Wide experience and a high level of competence in computerized information systems
- Experience in working with Navision and BC 365 ERP system.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Extensive experience in hardware and software support and management
- Unquestionable integrity and strong ethical standards
- Ability to demonstrate strong ICT skills
- Proactive and goal oriented.
