Outrival HR Solutions & Consultancies Ltd is recruiting for the position of an ICT Officer on behalf of our reputable client, a well-established Christian organization based in Nakuru. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the organization’s information and communication technology systems, ensuring reliable IT operations, supporting users, and strengthening digital infrastructure to enhance efficiency and service delivery. This role calls for a proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented professional committed to continuous improvement in ICT services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including computers, servers, printers, and network systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff.
  • Plan and implement ICT projects, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to procure ICT equipment and services.
  • Install, configure, and update hardware and software systems.
  • Ensure data security, backup, and disaster recovery processes are in place and regularly tested.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functionality and security.
  • Administer network security systems, including firewalls, antivirus, and access controls.
  • Support and maintain internet connectivity, LAN/WAN networks, and communication systems.
  • Ensure proper documentation of ICT systems, procedures, and inventory.
  • Train staff on the effective and safe use of ICT tools and systems.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with ICT policies and data protection standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, CISSP) are an added advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in ICT support, network administration, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software systems, and networking.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and data protection principles.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex ICT issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to convey technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Good moral standing
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
