Background

To manage the school’s IT infrastructure, ensure network security, and provide technical support to staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks.
  • Manage the school’s Local Area Network (LAN), Wi-Fi, and servers.
  • Oversee the school management system (e.g., KCPE/KCSE portal, e-learning platforms).
  • Ensure data security through backups, antivirus management, and firewalls.
  • Provide technical support to staff and students during classes and exams.
  • Maintain inventory of all IT assets and peripherals (printers, projectors).
  • Manage the school’s website and social media accounts (if required).
  • Train staff on new software and IT best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Professional certifications (CCNA, CompTIA, Microsoft) are an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in network administration and IT support.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
