The successful candidate will support teaching, learning, and administrative operations by managing networks, systems, hardware, software, cybersecurity, and end-user support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the school's computer networks, servers, internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, and ICT infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and application software.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance network efficiency, reliability, and security.
  • Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and configuration management.
  • Manage business applications, user accounts, system access, and software licensing.
  • Perform daily data backups and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
  • Maintain system documentation and ICT asset records.
  • Evaluate existing ICT systems and recommend technology improvements.
  • Provide timely technical support to teaching and administrative staff.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, email, and network-related issues.
  • Coordinate ICT user training to improve staff proficiency in business and educational applications.
  • Monitor systems for security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct regular security checks and implement appropriate security controls.
  • Ensure data protection, backup integrity, and compliance with ICT best practices.
  • Support the integration of ICT into teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with academic staff to enhance the effective use of technology in the classroom.
  • Recommend innovative ICT solutions that improve learning outcomes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in IT systems administration, network administration, or end-user support.
  • Experience managing Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, and enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP, wireless networking, and internet technologies.
  • Experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL database administration will be an added advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, Security+, ITIL, or related certifications will be an added advantage.
