Responsibilities
Reporting to the IT Manager, your duties include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently provide professional, engaging, and friendly service
- Lead and manage the hotel’s daily IT operations while ensuring all standards are upheld
- Follow all company IT Security Policies related to hardware, software, and data protection
- Support and maintain end‑user workstations
- Provide support for hotel systems, including network‑connected systems, POS systems, interfaces, file servers, and UPS devices
- Maintain and manage user accounts within Active Directory
- Manage access requests through the corporate grant/revoke ticketing system
- Ensure all software installations comply with licensing requirements
- Troubleshoot day‑to‑day IT issues for colleagues
- Assist with planning and implementing infrastructure changes, upgrades, and system modifications
- Implement network security standards set by corporate guidelines
- Support troubleshooting, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery processes, providing expert assistance when needed
- Collaborate with project teams to support implementation of internal systems
- Oversee local help desk operations and respond to escalated issues
- Maintain tracking and monitoring software
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve IT concerns in a timely manner
- Ensure company assets are used and maintained responsibly
- Balance operational tasks with administrative responsibilities and colleague needs
- Follow all departmental and safety policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Engineering
- Microsoft certification (preferred)
- Previous hotel IT experience is an asset, but not required
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail
- Reliable, responsible, and highly attentive to accuracy and security
