Role Context
MEDA is seeking an Impact and Knowledge Management Specialist to support its programs in Kenya. The specialist will be responsible for strengthening the organization's ability to measure, learn from, and communicate its impact. This role will involve working closely with program teams to develop and implement robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems, as well as facilitating knowledge sharing and utilization across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement MEL frameworks and tools for MEDA’s programs in Kenya.
- Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting on program performance and impact.
- Facilitate learning events and processes to ensure that program insights are captured and utilized for adaptive management.
- Develop and disseminate knowledge products (e.g., case studies, reports, presentations) to share lessons learned and best practices.
- Build the capacity of program staff in MEL and knowledge management.
- Contribute to the development of new program proposals by providing input on MEL and impact measurement.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as international development, economics, social sciences, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) in the development sector.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing MEL systems, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of impact measurement methodologies and approaches.
- Excellent knowledge management and communication skills, with experience in developing and disseminating knowledge products.
- Experience working in Kenya or East Africa is an asset.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata) and visualization tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) in the development sector.
