Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Ensuring timely and accurate processing of all importation-related payments.
• Reconciling import duty and tax payments with financial records.
• Liaising with customs brokers and other relevant authorities to resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintaining accurate records of all importation transactions.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports related to importations.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant import regulations and tax laws.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Proven experience as an accountant, with a focus on importations.
• Strong understanding of import procedures, customs duties, and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
