We are seeking a highly detailed, proactive, and commercially astute Imports & Procurement Officer to manage our end-to-end global supply chain moving efficiently from supplier to warehouse. This role is responsible for driving smart sourcing, seamless import clearances, and cost-effective inventory flows to actively support our day-to-day business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and establish strong commercial relationships with reliable local and international suppliers to secure quality and consistent supply.
  • Logistics & Import Management: Coordinate closely with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs agents, and local logistics providers to guarantee timely delivery of imports.
  • Commercial Negotiation: Negotiate preferential pricing, service contract terms, and lead-time schedules to secure corporate cost savings.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Track shipments closely while ensuring full alignment with local import regulations, tariffs, customs procedures, and standard shipping documentation requirements.
  • Data & Collaboration: Maintain precise procurement records, track inventory levels, and partner with internal departments to accurately forecast demand schedules.
  • Problem Resolution: Actively troubleshoot supply chain bottlenecks, port delays, or logistical issues to minimize operational downtime.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional Certifications: Active certification from CIPS, KISM, or an equivalent body is a distinct professional advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 to 4 years of proven hands-on experience handling corporate procurement pipelines, deep-sea/air imports, or international logistics.
  • Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with customs clearing documentation, tariff structures, and proficiency in modern procurement/ERP software along with advanced MS Excel capabilities.

Core Attributes: Elite negotiation, communication, and analytical skills with a proven capacity to deliver under pressure and strict timelines.
