Job Role Context
This role is for an Income Auditor position within a ultra-luxury beachfront hotel located in Mombasa. The Income Auditor will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of hotel revenues and financial transactions.
Responsibilities
The Income Auditor will be expected to perform tasks such as:
- Reviewing and verifying daily revenue reports from all hotel departments.
- Reconciling cash, credit card, and other payment transactions.
- Identifying and investigating discrepancies in revenue postings.
- Ensuring compliance with hotel policies and accounting procedures.
- Preparing audit reports and recommendations for management.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an auditor or in a similar financial role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
