JOB DETAILS:
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure while ensuring optimal performance, security, reliability, and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
Responsibilities
- Review monitoring dashboards and overnight alerts
- Check backup job statuses and resolve any failures
- Review and respond to support tickets within SLA timeframes
- Monitor system performance and capacity utilization
- Perform routine maintenance tasks (patching, updates)
- Participate in daily stand-ups or team meetings
- Document work performed and update CMDB
- Conduct capacity planning reviews
- Generate SLA compliance reports
- Review and implement change requests
- Conduct security vulnerability scans
- Participate in knowledge sharing sessions
- Review and update documentation and runbooks
- Conduct system health checks
- Certificate management and renewals
- Participate in disaster recovery testing
- Review and optimize cloud costs
- Conduct infrastructure performance reviews
- Update and test backup/restore procedures
- Participate in architecture review meetings
- Conduct training or lunch-and-learn sessions
Technical Skills
- Infrastructure Monitoring & Management – Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix, ELK, or Datadog
- Linux & Windows System Administration – RHEL/Ubuntu/CentOS and Windows Server
- Automation & Scripting – Bash, Python, PowerShell + Ansible/Terraform
- Database Support & Management – Oracle & PostgreSQL
- Cloud Infrastructure Management – AWS, Azure, HCS
- Network Infrastructure – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, load balancers
- Virtualization Management – VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or KVM
- SLA Management & Reporting – ITIL processes, uptime tracking, incident management
- Change Management & Documentation
- Capacity Planning & Performance Optimization
- Incident & Problem Management
- Security & Compliance
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Cloud Certification (at least ONE of the following): AWS Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator (AZ-104), or Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305)
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering or system administration
- Proven track record of managing production environments with strict SLA requirements
- Experience supporting 24/7 mission-critical systems
- Demonstrated experience with infrastructure automation and scripting
