Job Summary & Strategic Scope
The Insurance Premium Finance Manager will lead and grow HFCB Kenya's Insurance Premium Financing (IPF) portfolio. The role focuses on driving business acquisition, expanding broker and insurer partnerships, structuring competitive premium financing packages, and maintaining portfolio health and credit compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio & Growth Management: Develop and implement growth strategies for the Insurance Premium Financing (IPF) business line to expand market share and drive revenue targets.
- Partnership Development: Build and nurture strategic relationships with insurance companies, underwriters, insurance brokers, and corporate clients.
- Credit Structuring & Risk Management: Evaluate insurance financing applications, assess credit risk, structure appropriate repayment schedules, and enforce compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory standards.
- Product & Process Innovation: Continuously refine IPF product offerings and streamline application and disbursement workflows to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Performance Reporting: Monitor portfolio performance, track non-performing financing accounts, and prepare comprehensive management reports.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Insurance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Experience: Proven supervisory or managerial experience in Insurance Premium Financing (IPF), bancassurance, or credit management within a commercial bank or financial institution.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Kenyan insurance landscape, credit appraisal frameworks, and regulatory requirements governing premium financing.
- Key Skills: Exceptional business development, relationship management, financial analysis, negotiation, and strategic leadership skills.
- Develop and implement growth strategies for the Insurance Premium Financing (IPF) business line to expand market share and drive revenue targets.
