Responsibilities or duties,
- Assist in the implementation of the Education Committee workplan.
- Analysis, review and monitoring of all policies and legislation at National and County levels relating to the Education Committee.
- Conduct research work, analysis of documents and preparation of position papers, policy briefs, and success stories in the Education Committee.
- Assist in the coordination and harmonization of the Council’s positions and priorities on sectoral matters.
- Assist in handling and monitoring children mainstreaming across the committees within the Council.
- Assist in data and knowledge management within the Committee.
- Ensuring that all committee reports are written and submitted within the required timelines and
- Support intra- and inter-agency and governmental consultations on sectoral issues.
- Support in the engagement and coordination of the various Caucuses within the Committee.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills),
- Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Public Administration or other related degree.
- Experience in documentation and report writing for technical meetings.
- Knowledge and understanding of government-related processes, especially within the context of Devolution.
- Outstanding Interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to follow deadlines, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- A high level of computer literacy and proficiency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience needed,
Experience in documentation and report writing for technical meetings.

The intern will work within the education committee and will be supervised by and reporting to the Sector Lead of the Committee.
The internship will be for a duration of six (6) months with possible extension for another six months owing to performance of the intern and availability of funds.
