Background
Kenya Pipeline Company PLC (KPC), Africa’s Premier Energy Partner, has announced new career opportunities within its Internal Audit Directorate/Department. Following its transition to a Public Listed Company, KPC is seeking highly motivated, visionary, dynamic, and results-oriented professionals to strengthen its internal audit function. The recruitment drive presents an opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to corporate governance, risk management, financial accountability, and operational excellence within one of Kenya’s leading state corporations. A total of five vacancies are available across different levels of the Internal Audit Department.
Job Specifications
i. Provide inputs for the development of Annual Audit plan
ii. Prepare planning documents as per assigned Audit Engagement for review and approval.
iii. Prepare audit program for the assigned Audit Engagement for review and approval
iv. Participate in full audit cycle of planning, fieldwork, reporting and follow-up
v. Lead audit teams in conducting risk-based audits in accordance with professional auditing standards and follow up audits to monitor and report management’s interventions
vi. Prepare and submit engagement reports that reflect audit’s results and document process.
vii. Discuss draft audit reports with auditees and management
viii. Carry out management requests audits and investigations (ad-hoc) as may be required from time to time.
Person Specifications
(i) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Construction Engineering)
(ii) Registration with the technical professional body
(iii) A minimum period of four (4) years’ work experience in an external audit firm / internal audit function of a commercial organisation
(iv) Proficiency in computer applications.
