Background

Inventory Accountant role at Danco Capital. Responsible for managing inventory accounts, reconciling stock records, and monitoring inventory costs. The role is based in Nairobi with duties performed on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary controller of inventory transactions within ERP; validate costing structures (production, logistics, landed costs, etc.).

Lead stock calendar cycle counts, weekly confirmations, spot checks, quarterly and annual stock-takes; investigate discrepancies.

Prepare weekly/monthly inventory ledger change explanations for Chief Accountant; maintain audit trails and SOP compliance checks.

Supervise Inventory Supervisor and Junior Clerk; ensure daily ERP posting by close of business.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Supply Chain (or equivalent).

2–3 years’ experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing accounting.

Professional certification (e.g., CPA(K), ACCA) is required.

Hands-on ERP experience covering inventory, costing, and production modules.
