Inventory Accounts Assistant at Summit Recruitment and Search
The selected candidate will be involved in inventory management, admin and procurement processes. This is a key support role within the supply chain function, helping to ensure the availability, traceability, and proper movement of inventory.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular reconciliations between physical inventory and accounting records, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Monitor and maintain accurate cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory valuation using appropriate costing methods (e.g., FIFO, weighted average).
- Monitor stock levels, update stock cards, and flag low inventory to support timely replenishment.
- Support internal and external audits by providing detailed inventory data, documentation, and analysis.
- Generate and analyze inventory-related financial reports to provide insights on stock levels, shrinkage, obsolescence, and turnover metrics.
- Ensure all inventory accounting activities comply with internal policies, procedures, and applicable accounting standards.
- Other accounting duties.
Requirements
- Degree in business related field.
- Minimum 6 months of experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
