Role Overview:
The Inventory Lead is responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and visibility of all inventory within the Fulfilment Center. This role oversees daily inventory control operations, including cycle counts, audits, reconciliations, stock movement accuracy, and inventory health. The role ensures proper stock handling, storage, compliance, and operational excellence while driving continuous improvement in inventory processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute daily inventory control activities
- Ensure full execution of cycle count programs to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, shrinkage, lost items, and inventory variances
- Maintain accurate and timely system records for all inventory transactions and adjustments
- Coordinate with Inbound, Outbound, and Procurement teams to resolve inventory-related issues
- Ensure proper labelling, storage, bin allocation, and compliance with FIFO/FEFO principles
- Escalate slow-moving, excess, damaged, or near-expiry inventory and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, operational SOPs, and audit requirements
- Maintain warehouse organization through proper stacking, clear signage, and clean storage areas
- Monitor and control stock damages, variances while ensuring accountability and timely reporting
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and cost reduction
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or fulfilment center management
- Experience with ERP/WMS or inventory management systems is highly preferred
- Proven experience in physical stock counts, reconciliations, and inventory audits
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and inventory accuracy
- Knowledge of FIFO/FEFO, cycle counting, shrinkage control, and warehouse best practices
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting tools
