We are seeking to recruit a results-driven Inventory Officer to strengthen inventory governance and stock accuracy across the business. Individuals who meet the job specifications are highly encouraged to apply.
Inventory Officer
This position reports to the Business Transformation Manager.
Job Purpose: This job involves maintaining accurate inventory records, analyzing stock levels, and implementing measures to optimize inventory turnover and minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
Key Responsibility:
- Monitor and reconcile daily inventory movements across all inventory sections.
- Prepare and submit consolidated daily inventory reconciliation reports.
- Ensure all physical stock transactions are accurately posted in SAP on a daily basis.
- Enforce FEFO (First Expiry First Out) principles to minimize expiries and losses.
- Validate system stock status, including committed and ordered quantities.
- Investigate and follow up on inventory variances and provide justified explanations.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee monthly stock takes and variance reporting.
- Promote food safety, quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Support continuous improvement in inventory control and stock optimization.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Inventory Management is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in inventory management, preferably within an FMCG environment.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP and inventory control systems.
- Technical knowledge of spare parts is required
