JSS Teacher (Junior Secondary School)

Job Purpose: To deliver specialized subject instruction to students in Grades 7-9, preparing them for senior secondary education and career pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach the specialized subject(s) as per the JSS CBC curriculum.
• Develop detailed schemes of work and lesson plans.
• Set, administer, and mark exams and assignments.
• Conduct practical lessons, experiments, and projects.
• Offer career guidance and subject selection advice to students.
• Maintain up-to-date records of student progress.
• Participate in subject panels, departmental meetings, and co-curricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor of Education (Arts/Science) in the relevant subject area.
• TSC registered.
• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching in Junior Secondary.
• Proficiency in integrating ICT in teaching.
