Product Manager (Sales)

Job Purpose:

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for gaps in consumer product offerings and an innovative mind-set for filling them. This person should be a highly skilled market analyst with a proven ability to strategize the full lifecycle of a product, from conception to release. He/ She should have experience managing projects, overseeing successful delivery of partnership objectives, a passion for creating a frictionless customer experience, the curiosity to innovate new solutions and the ability to act as a thought leader in managing and growing partner relationships.

Key responsibilities:

  • Initiate and execute partner on boarding activities including preparing a project charter and business case for assigned projects.
  • Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, and product launch.
  • Work closely with other Product owners, Solutions, Marketing, Sales, Customers, Partners and Solution Architect & development teams to define and develop detailed product/ business requirements.
  • Map out and co-ordinate sales/go-to market initiatives jointly with partners and other key stakeholders that will play a key in achieving set sales objectives for existing and new partners.
  • Continuously manage partner relationships with all partners to ensure all partners are happy and also track and report on all planned or on-going activities.
  • Be comfortable to own, manage and report on portfolio of projects at any one time confidently.
  • Identify opportunities to drive partner success through enhanced product offerings, streamlined, improved review workflows, workshops, brainstorms and expanded product offerings.
  • Identify new partnership opportunities aligned to achievement of our strategic objectives.
  • Effectively manage and close on generated leads from all campaign activities, working closely with the assigned tele sales team.
  • Drive the Digital innovation agenda together with the Head of Partnerships and Digital Innovation continuously identifying and developing solutions that deliver superior customer experience.
  • Key liaison and customer advocate, ensuring customer needs are observed and fulfilled, between the customer; first tier customer support representatives; and the various business segments i.e. Retail, Corporate and EMC.
  • Support the strategic direction of digital product development as well as service and process offerings with a digital focus; analyze client feedback to make recommendations for continuous improvement and/or development of new functionality or features.
  • Stakeholder management to ensure project is delivered on time, on scope and within budget.
  • Project risk management including carrying out risk assessments and designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Must be seasoned and proficient professional to stay ahead of the digital curve, innovative, pro-active and provocative, yet diplomatic—an expert at managing relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering and translating business, consumer, cultural, and social insights into actionable implications and strategies on digital platforms.
  • A Self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment who can devise the right course of action to achieve the objective.
  • Delegated Authority: As per the approved Delegated Authority Matrix.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required:

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, IT, design, or related field.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role with demonstrable track record of achieving success.
  • Digital planning experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Understanding and experience with Service Design principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience growing projects into long-term client partnerships.
  • Customer orientation demonstrated delivery of customer-oriented solutions.
  • Conversant in the principles and practices of user-centered design.
  • A passion for innovation, design, and technology.

Corporate Non - Motor Claims Associate

Job Purpose:    

The role holder will be responsible for the processing and payment of general insurance claims.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review documents and pertinent requirements regarding an insurance claim.
  • Ensure that the insurance claim made by the claimant is complete in form and complies with the documentary requirements of an insurance claim for non-motor.
  • Advice claimants regarding basic matters about their insurance coverage in relation to the insurance claim.
  • Respond to both internal and external claims inquiries concerning benefits, claims process, service providers, and the filing/completion of proper forms.
  • Record all claims transactions including appointment of Loss Adjusters, investigators and surveyors.
  • Prepare claims registers for claims meetings and update the various claims reports.
  • Prepare initial claim letter and mail to insured, along with appropriate forms for completion.
  • Track and follow up on receipt of necessary forms/documents.
  • Delegated Authority:  As per the approved Delegated Authority Matrix as per SODA.
  • Process payments to insured’s and service providers as per SLA.
  • Maintain adequate initial reserves as per reserve guidelines and participate in the monthly, quarterly and annual reserves reviews.
  • Ensure that claims, appointment and payments are processed within the set TATs and files duly updated.
  • Ensure that initial demand letter is prepared, sent out on all recovery matters and recovery register updated.
  • Prompt settlement of invoices and negotiation with service providers to realize Savings as per set targets.
  • Record and update all required registers or company data across all necessary system. 
  • Initiate, pursue recover under motor, XOL, FacRe or any other recovery.
  • Adhere to claims manual procedures and process.  
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required:

  • Bachelors of degree or commerce (insurance option preferred).
  • Progress in professional qualification in Insurance (ACII, FLMI or AIIK).
  • 2-3 years’ experience in insurance claims processing.
  • Knowledge and experience in the insurance sector.

Technical/ Functional competencies:

  • Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of insurance products.
  • Sales and marketing management skills.
