Medical Officer – CCU

 Responsible for: 

Responsible for evaluating, diagnostics, treating, providing consultation and admitting all patients at Critical Care Departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ethically reviewing and instituting appropriate therapeutic interventions for patients admitted to critical care units or requiring critical care across the hospital.
  • Reviewing patients in other units where CCU/HDU support is needed and making appropriate decisions on interventions required.
  • Assisting in coaching and mentoring of nursing staff on various aspects of critical care and management of critical illness.
  • Performing medical procedures expected of a CCU medical officer.
  • Ensuring that high standards of diagnostic accuracy and patient care are maintained
  • Preparing medical reports and other clinical documents as required
  • Ensuring professionalism and timeliness in handling of clients at both individual and departmental level
  • Participating in continuous medical education and the development of departmental clinical protocols, quality improvement plans and initiatives.
  • Participating in research, clinical audits, and review programs for the department
  • Ensuring consistency in the clinical protocols and provision of care.
  • Ensuring regular and adequate communication with patients and relatives on clinical progress.
  • Advocating for excellent patient care and outcomes.
  • Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

Education 

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery
  • Valid certification in BLS and ACLS.
  • Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification an added advantage.
  • European Paediatric Advance Life Support (EPALS) certification an added advantage

Qualifications

  • One-year post-internship experience
  • Private practice experiences an added advantage
  • Valid registration and annual practice license
  • Registered with Kenya Medical practitioners and Dentist Board.

Patient Experience Assistant

Job Purpose: The overall purpose of this role is to ensure seamless service delivery for individual and corporate clients by providing personalized coordination services in order to enhance patient experience and promote the wellness package portfolio.

iDuties and Responsibilities

  • Gathering customer feedback of hospital services and products through questionnaire collection and in-patient ward visits.
  • Formulating data collection tools e.g. questionnaires, survey tools etc. to gather information on external and internal customer satisfaction and ensure adequate supply
  • Compiling daily reports from the questionnaire collected from patient satisfactory questionnaires.
  • Visiting the in-patients in the ward.
  • Promoting and maintaining Customer Service standards through planning and conducting surveys and Customer Service audits.
  • Attending to disgruntled clients in the Hospital and ensuring that their complaints are resolved.
  • Conducting hospital tours to educate prospective clients on services and products offered in the hospital.
  • Coordinates hospital and departmental Marketing & Customer Service events.

Care Manager

Job Purpose: The overall purpose of this role is to ensure seamless service delivery for individual and corporate clients by providing personalized coordination services in order to enhance patient experience and promote the wellness package portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fostering the growth of patient volumes, in line with the annual budgets, through a focused delivery of high-quality care and patient-sensitive service that meets or exceeds the expectations of patients.
  • Care Management- Management of the quality of hospitalization by ensuring that all hospitalized members are visited and advised on whether their cases are payable or not by the providers with proper explanation. Ensuring that proper updates are given to management on a regular basis.
  • Patient Care- Become well acquainted with the wellness packages offered to provide accurate and prompt response to enquiries and advise patients on what packages to take. Handle complaints, provide appropriate solutions to patients and escalate the feedback as required.
  • Support the hospital’s medical tourism patient’s journey.
  • Ensure that 3rd party payers receive timely support, inclusive but not limited to medical reports, supporting cashiers with responses to invoice queries and bill estimates etc.
  • Data Analysis- Perform data analysis and prepare reports for service uptake. Continually review the wellness journey and feedback from patients, to offer suggestions to improve patient experience.
  • Customer Awareness-Coordinate wellness drives for corporate clients to ensure services are delivered as per agreed contracts.
  • Support the finance department with the clinical reconciliation process as well review of bills before dispatch to ensure closure of clinical gaps.
  • Business Development-Assist in activities to promote packages and following up on leads for potential clients.
  • Support patients through participation in hospital processes aiming at resolution of patient’s clinical concerns raised during their stay.
