Radiographer

REF NO: RADIOGRAPHER/AHCC/12/2022

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

  • Higher diploma in ultrasound
  • Diploma in medical imaging sciences
  • Two (2) years working experience in similar position
  • Registered and licensed by the Kenya radiation protection board

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • responsible for providing safe, efficient, high quality diagnostic imaging services through the use of modern imaging technology that includes digital x-ray machines and ultrasound machine.
  • Ensure the radiation license is up to date for the department
  • Ensure the machines in x-ray departments are well maintained and service schedule adhered to including communicating any breakdown to the clinic manager.
  • Ensure the TLB is read by radiological services on a regular basis to avoid over exposure
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Laboratory Technologist

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST JOB

  • Be a Kenyan citizen.
  • Be a holder of Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology
  • Outstanding patient interaction skills are a must.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Lab Technician or a similar role.
  • Fully proficient in lab services, including hematology
  • Be a registered member of KMLTTB
  • Certificate in computer applications skills
  • Possess a valid practice license from KMLTTB and registration certificate.

LAB TECHNOLOGIST JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing laboratory Reagents;
  • Examining specimens;
  • Writing and recording results;
  • Decontaminating working benches and equipment’s
  • Receiving and scrutinizing requisition forms for accuracy;
  • Preparing clients for collection of specimens;
  • Receiving/collecting, labelling and registering specimens;
  • Disaggregating specimens for processing and analysis
  • Performing routine diagnostic tests;
  • Dispatching the results for clinical management using the system.
  • Disposing laboratory waste
  • Preparing and submitting MOH reports including weekly updates to the clinic in charge
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor

Front Office/Cashier

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in business administration or related field
  • At least 2 years Hospital experience in from office operations
  • Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch-typing system is strongly preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Furnishing clients   with appropriate information on various prescribed serves and their respective charges to aid in services delivery and where necessary referring them to customer service for help
  • Receiving and accurate receipting of payments from clients on registration, services, procedures and drugs purchases
  • Supporting the clinic supervisor in marketing of the clinic as the front-line team
  • Processing NHIF capitation clients by reviewing their claim forms to the approved list for the quarter and ensuring that they are registered clearly for the level of service
  • Processing of NHIF clients for FFS by ensuring they fill the required forms and the pre-approval is given before the services are offered
  • Processing insurance client’s forms, seeking pre-approvals and ensuring the clients are served only after the approvals are given
  • Compiling daily reports on NHIF and insurances and submitting them to the accountant for invoicing and sharing with the clinic supervisor for onward submission to the respective companies
  •  Preparing daily capitation reports to the accountant for costing on the NHIF client’s costs for reporting to management
  • Compiling collection reports as per shift and ensuring its reconciled together with the clinic accountant and signed by both parties on daily basis
  • Booking patients for special clinics and minor theater procedures as per the doctor’s guidelines.

Pharm Tech- (2 Positions) 

REF NO: PHARM/TECH/AHCC/12/2022

Reporting to Clinic in charge, the job holder will be responsible for ensuring accurate dispensing, patient counselling and proper handling of pharmaceutical supplies for all orders and to provide effective pharmaceutical services to meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology
  • Enrolled with Pharmacy & Poisons Board with a current professional practice license
  • Member of Kenya Pharmaceutical Association
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an outpatient pharmacy setting
  • Exposure to hospital management systems will be an added advantage
  • Ability to read and scrutinize prescriptions appropriately and offer the required guidance as necessary
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the Values of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process orders delivered to the Pharmacy Department in accordance with procedures and documentation
  • Effectively manage the dispensing of all drugs and other commodities
  • Check and advice on the expiry of the drugs and disposal of the same.
  • Ensure proper management of Pharmacy Records in the system
  • Ensure effective stock controls and conduct regular /monthly stock take.
  • Counsel patients on drug administration
  • Attend weekly clinic update meetings and share pharmacy progress reports
  • Prepare Comprehensive Monthly report to the Management
  • Perform any other duties which may be assigned by Management from time to time.

Clinical Officers (2 Positions)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive and high-quality clinical services including (Take/review the patient’s history to ascertain the right clinical examinations and treatment and prescription of treatment) to patients using the system
  • Order investigation and interpretation of results for diagnosis and explain the results to the patients and the intended treatment.
  • Diagnose and institute appropriate treatment, prescriptions, and carry out other treatment activities while ensuring that established treatment protocols are effectively followed.
  •  Refer patients to other departments for further investigation such as laboratory and x-ray.
  • Attend to emergencies presenting to the clinic and recommend referrals for cases that cannot be managed.
  • Ensure that all required observations and vitals, prescribed treatment and procedures are carried out and documented in the system.
  • Conduct minor surgeries in minor theatre
  • Create phenomenal patient experiences, including counselling and sensitizing patients through health talks on preventive and promotive health.
  • Ensure effective clinical procedures, rules, regulations which are consistent with organization procedures and MOH guidelines.
  • Participate in outreaches/medical camps or other activities such as health talks or community programs.
  • Handle patient data/ information confidentially at all times.
  • Prepare the weekly reports and attend weekly clinic meetings.
  • Ensure that the clinic environment is safe and complies with infection control standards.
  • Actively participate in clinical training programs, including on-job training and skills building.

Education and Qualifications

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution.
  • Registered with Clinical Officers Council and have a valid practicing license
  • Minimum of 1 years of work experience after internship in a hospital setup and three years’ work experience in an outpatient facility
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Outstanding patient interaction/customer care skills are a MUST.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a big team
