Volunteer: Employee Handbook for Centres for Community Healthcare Access

What You'll Work On

  • Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
  • Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information

  • Background in HR or Operations

Your Availability

  • Works remotely from anywhere
  • 15-20 hours over 2-3 weeks

Volunteer: New Employee Onboarding for Centres for Community Healthcare Access

What You'll Work On

  • A written document that identifies the Organization's timeline, onboarding goals, recommended responsibilities and support for new hire success:
  • An onboarding checklist and timeline template that can be completed by the Organization for each new hire
  • A suggested checklist and template outlining onboarding methods the Organization should pursue to meet its goals (human resources and information technology materials, department presentations, mentor assignment, skill sharing, etc.)
  • Recommendations on how to delegate onboarding responsibilities within the Organization or department, if applicable
  • A short plan for communicating with the new hire prior to their first day of work

All of the above points capture all that we would wish to achieve at the end of the project
