We are a leading furniture manufacturing company specializing in high-quality bespoke furniture, joinery works, and customized interior solutions. We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Joinery/Furniture Production In-Charge to oversee daily workshop operations and ensure the timely, efficient, and high-standard delivery of all joinery and furniture projects.

The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge in furniture and joinery production, the ability to lead workshop staff, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the joinery/furniture production workshop.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor production activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and within specifications.
  • Review technical drawings, cutting lists, and material specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Coordinate closely with designers, project managers, and procurement teams to align production requirements.
  • Supervise and lead carpenters, machinists, painters, and other workshop staff, ensuring high performance and quality output.
  • Implement quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections throughout the production process.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Manage inventory levels, monitor material usage, and request procurement as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workshop environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and propose improvements for processes, workflow, and productivity.

Education

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Wood Technology, Furniture Production, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 4–8 years of experience in joinery or furniture manufacturing, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or in-charge role.
  • Strong understanding of joinery techniques, carpentry methods, furniture construction, and finishing processes.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and production documents.
  • Hands-on knowledge of workshop machinery (CNC, panel saw, edge banding, sanding, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple production schedules simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of quality standards, safety regulations, and lean production practices is a plus.
