The Junior Accountant will be responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable (AR) process, ensuring accurate and timely collection of customer payments, and maintaining up-to-date financial records. The role will support the Accountant in handling financial operations, tax compliance, audits, and other administrative tasks, contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer invoicing and ensure timely issuance of invoices.
- Validate incoming customer payments against outstanding invoices and accurately record transactions.
- Monitor and update Accounts Receivable aging schedules, following up on overdue accounts through calls and emails.
- Assist in resolving customer payment issues, disputes, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain detailed records of customer balances and collection activities.
- Generate periodic receivables reports for management review.
- Support the Accountant in preparing documentation for tax filings, audits, and other management requests.
- Ensure all accounting documentation is well-organized, updated, and securely archived.
- Perform other finance and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance (internship/entry-level experience acceptable).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial records.
- Effective communication and customer follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with accounting software (experience with ERP systems)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the finance function.
