JOB DETAILS:
We are looking for a Junior Finance Analyst to be based in our Nairobi office within the Finance team. This person should be resourceful, organized, and proactive about getting things done. Your main objective is to support the business leaders with finance-related requests and be their “go-to” person for any Finance matters. The position will report to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:
• Assist Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager in the maintenance of our Long-Range Planning (LRP) Model
• Update the LRP model with actuals each month
• Analyze trend data and share insights gained with the senior finance team
• Consolidate country/departmental yearly budgets and input into the LRP model
• Assist FP&A Manager in producing different scenarios to present to senior management
• Suggest and implement improvements to the LRP model

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree and Accountancy qualification. E.g. CPA
• Proven work experience in a similar position
• Excellent communication skills, but written and verbal
• Desire to understand the financial workings of the business
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Ability to constructively challenge senior management
• Solid analytical and decision-making skills
• Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint, and accounting software
• Financial modeling experience is an added advantage
