Kiswahili, Science, and Pre-Technical Junior School Teacher

Reports to: Head of Junior School / Academics Coordinator

Job Purpose: To inspire and educate students in the Junior School by delivering engaging lessons in Kiswahili, Science, and Pre-Technical Studies, fostering both academic excellence and practical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver interactive lessons in line with the CBC curriculum.
  • Teach Kiswahili language and literature, integrating cultural awareness.
  • Instruct students in general Science concepts through experiments and practical activities.
  • Deliver Pre-Technical Studies, introducing students to foundational concepts in design, engineering, and technology.
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress and development.
  • Prepare teaching materials and maintain a well-managed classroom environment.
  • Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning.
  • Attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development workshops.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma in Education (Primary option) or Degree in Education with a focus on Kiswahili/Science.
  • Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
  • Proven experience teaching the CBC curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
