Role Overview

The Kiswahili & History Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction in both Kiswahili and History subjects to secondary school students. This role requires a deep understanding of the curriculum, a commitment to student development, and the ability to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans for Kiswahili and History, aligning with the national curriculum.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction, employing diverse teaching methodologies to cater to different learning styles.
  • Assess student progress through regular assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Maintain accurate student records and prepare progress reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the school administration to support student learning and well-being.
  • Participate in school activities, professional development, and departmental meetings.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in Kiswahili and History.
  • A valid teaching certification or license.
  • Proven experience teaching Kiswahili and History at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the Kenyan secondary school curriculum.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to student success.

Experience Needed

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
