Role Overview
The Kiswahili & History Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction in both Kiswahili and History subjects to secondary school students. This role requires a deep understanding of the curriculum, a commitment to student development, and the ability to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans for Kiswahili and History, aligning with the national curriculum.
- Deliver high-quality instruction, employing diverse teaching methodologies to cater to different learning styles.
- Assess student progress through regular assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Maintain accurate student records and prepare progress reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the school administration to support student learning and well-being.
- Participate in school activities, professional development, and departmental meetings.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in Kiswahili and History.
- A valid teaching certification or license.
- Proven experience teaching Kiswahili and History at the secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of the Kenyan secondary school curriculum.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Passion for teaching and commitment to student success.
Experience Needed
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
