Responsibilities or duties

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Kiswahili lessons for assigned classes.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching materials.
• Assess, record, and report on student achievement and progress.
• Create a positive classroom environment that supports learning.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and school events.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities such as language clubs or cultural events.
• Stay updated on curriculum changes and best practices in language teaching.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• Bachelor’s degree in Kiswahili, Education, or related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Kiswahili and English.

Experience needed

• Experience teaching Kiswahili at relevant key stages.
• Familiarity with national curriculum requirements for languages.
