About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated LMS Systems Integration Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the seamless integration of our Learning Management System (LMS) with other organizational systems, optimizing data flow, and enhancing the overall user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, configure, and implement enterprise Learning Management Systems.
  • Integrate digital platforms using APIs and interoperability standards including SCORM, xAPI, and LTI.
  • Implement scalable cloud-based solutions and mobile learning platforms.
  • Provide technical leadership on enterprise systems integration and digital platform architecture.
  • Ensure seamless integration of LMS with existing institutional ICT infrastructure.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, ICT, or a related discipline.
  • Moodle Certified Professional or equivalent LMS certification.
  • AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, API Integration, or Enterprise Systems certifications.
  • At least 10 years of experience designing, developing, configuring, and implementing enterprise Learning Management Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating digital platforms using APIs and interoperability standards such as SCORM, xAPI, and LTI.
  • Experience implementing scalable cloud-based solutions and mobile learning platforms.
  • Knowledge of enterprise systems integration and digital platform architecture.

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Experience delivering complex ICT or digital transformation assignments.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with government agencies, financial institutions, higher education institutions, or development partners.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working in Eastern Africa or similar regional contexts is desirable.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position based in Nairobi, Kenya. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.

  • Design, develop, and implement integrations between the LMS and other enterprise systems (e.g., HRIS, CRM, SIS).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand integration requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for integrations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in LMS integration and data management.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, web services, and data exchange protocols (e.g., REST, SOAP, XML, JSON).
  • Experience with database management and SQL.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in LMS systems integration (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas).
