Background

This role involves promoting and selling laboratory equipment, reagents, and diagnostic consumables within the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Promoting and selling laboratory equipment, reagents and diagnostic consumables to hospitals, clinics, laboratories and other healthcare institutions.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with laboratory technologists, pathologists, procurement officers and hospital administrators.
  • Conducting product demonstrations, presentations and customer training.
  • Preparing accurate sales quotations, proposals and tender documents.
  • Developing and executing territory sales plans to achieve revenue and volume targets.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and generating leads through field visits, referrals and market research.
  • Maintaining accurate customer and sales pipeline records through CRM systems.
  • Coordinating product installation, calibration and user training with the technical/service team.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activities.
  • Preparing regular sales, activity and sales forecast reports for management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, Sales/Marketing or a related field. A Diploma in a relevant field may be considered with relevant experience.
  • 1-3 years' experience in sales, preferably in laboratory equipment, medical diagnostics or healthcare products.
  • Experience selling laboratory equipment, reagents or diagnostic consumables to hospitals, clinics and laboratories will be an added advantage.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Registration with KMLTTB will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Valid driving license is required.
