Role Context

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Laundry Supervisor for a prestigious Ultra Luxury Beachfront Hotel in Mombasa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all laundry operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the hotel laundry department.
• Ensure all linens, uniforms, and other hotel fabrics are cleaned, pressed, and maintained to luxury standards.
• Manage laundry staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluation, and motivation.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and chemicals, and place orders as needed.
• Ensure all laundry equipment is functioning correctly and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and hygiene standards within the laundry department.
• Monitor laundry costs and work towards optimizing efficiency and minimizing waste.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as a Laundry Supervisor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of laundry operations, equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of quality.
